There is a huge variety of green tea.

Green tea was primarily discovered in China. It happened by mistake – in the Chinese Emperor’s water was a dead and boiled tea leaf.

Originally, green tea was very expensive.

The name of the tea was given by the intensive colour of leaves and characteristic tint of the brew.

After being picked, tea leaves need to be steamed and roasted due to exposition to oxygen that makes leaves start fermentation process. That helps stop the unwanted transofmation.
